District-Wide Kindergarten Curriculum Enhancement
This fall, kindergarten classrooms across the Dover School District were transformed with engaging, hands-on learning tools, thanks to SEED’s District-Wide Kindergarten Curriculum Enhancement Grant. Each kindergarten classroom received a $1,000 grant from SEED to purchase Tuft Trays and supplemental materials, enriching the new Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) curriculum and supporting instruction in early literacy, math, and science.
On a recent visit to Woodman Park School, the SEED Grants Committee watched students enthusiastically rotate through Tuft Tray stations, including “Traditional Tales: The Three Little Pigs” and “Tweezers & Pom-Poms.” At one tray, children used tweezers to sort bright pom-poms, building finger strength and coordination; at another, they reenacted scenes from The Three Little Pigs, exploring story structure and problem-solving through play. These activities transform abstract ideas into concrete, joyful learning experiences.
SEED is proud to support this district-wide effort to strengthen early learning. By investing in materials that spark curiosity, invite exploration, and make foundational concepts tangible, SEED is helping ensure that Dover’s youngest learners experience joyful, developmentally rich learning every
