Kennebunk Savings Supports SEED Grants with $500 Donation

Dory Polanco of Kennebunk Savings presents a $500 donation to SEED in support of teacher innovation grants in Dover public schools.

SEED (Seacoast Educational Endowment for Dover) is proud to announce a generous $500 sponsorship from Kennebunk Savings in support of SEED Grants for Dover public school teachers. The donation was presented earlier this week at the Kennebunk Savings Dover branch, where SEED representatives joined bank staff for a photo opportunity.

This contribution will directly benefit our educator-led grant program, helping fund innovative, hands-on learning experiences in Dover classrooms. With this support, teachers will be empowered to implement creative projects that enhance student engagement and academic growth.

According to Deb Adams, Kennebunk Savings' Social Responsibility Administrator, the bank’s commitment to community giving is anchored in its Community Promise Program, which allocates 10% of annual earnings to local charitable organizations. Since the program’s inception, Kennebunk Savings has contributed over $20 million to nonprofits across the region. In 2024 alone, employees volunteered more than 11,000 hours, reflecting the bank’s deep and ongoing investment in the communities it serves.

“We are incredibly grateful to Kennebunk Savings for their continued support of Dover educators,” said Denise Chiota-Allen, SEED Board Member and Grants Committee Member. “This partnership strengthens our ability to fund meaningful classroom experiences and ensures that our teachers have the resources they need to bring learning to life.”

Thank you to Kennebunk Savings for sharing in our mission to empower Dover teachers and students through community generosity and collaboration.
