Volunteer Tutors Needed in Dover
A free after-school tutoring program started by former SEED Board member and longtime friend of SEED, Donna McAdam, and her husband Bruce is growing — and additional volunteers can make a meaningful difference for local students.

- When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:30–4:30 PM
- Greatest Need: One additional math tutor on Thursdays
- Also Helpful: Substitute tutors and middle school support
- Commitment: Flexible — weekly, bi-weekly, or even twice a month

About the Tutoring Program
High School Math Support
16 Dover High School students are receiving support in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Probability & Statistics, and Calculus.
Elementary & Middle School Support
Enrollment has grown to 33–35 students. A strong volunteer base exists, but additional tutors and substitutes help ensure consistency.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Retired teachers
- Community members comfortable with math
- Anyone who enjoys helping students learn
No teaching license required — just patience, encouragement, and reliability.
